Entopic Pregnancy
An entopic pregnancy occurs when the fertilized ovule implants itself outside of the uterus – in one of the fallopian tubes, the ovaries, the abdomen or the cervix. This type of pregnancy constitutes a serious problem for the health of the mother. Fortunately though, sonogrmas are able to detect them now.
The presence of an entopic pregnancy can be seen through visible symptoms such as bleeding, abdominal pain, dizziness and weakness. There are cases in which no symptoms show up, in which case the doctor will determine it with an sonogram. The doctor can treat the problem in several ways, depending on the location of the embryo or fetus or on how advanced the pregnancy is and the symptoms. The doctor cannot however, move the embryo or fetus to the uterus so that the pregnancy continues on normally.
