The Importance of Data
The human brain that does not have data is considered a complete idiot. Let us see a clear example. If we take an earth worm, which has a teensy brain, and we chop it up little by little on the laboratory table, the earth worm will do everything that is in its reach, which will be very little, to avoid us from chopping it up. What happens to a child’s brain in these same kinds of circumstances that is in a deep coma? A coma, by definition, is a state of unconsciousness in which the human being is functionally deaf, functionally blind and functionally insensitive. If someone were to grab a dull saw and were to little by little cut off a leg of this human being, this person would not complain in the least bit. Without a dou

bt, there is not a better example of a lack of intelligence than in the case of a human being that allows a leg to be amputated without protesting about it. But why? Is it that the person is incapable of moving or emitting sounds? It is actually a lot more basic than that. What occurs is not that the person is not able to put up a fuss, but rather that he does not know that a leg is being cut off. He is not able to see that his leg is being cut off, he cannot hear that this is occurring, he cannot feel that this is occurring, he cannot smell that this is occurring, he cannot taste that this is occurring, which all in all means that he does not have any data at his disposal. Without data there cannot be intelligence. It is important to advise that if we were to wake a child up in a way where he were no longer in a coma and supposing that he was healthy before he went into a coma, he could show evidence of having an IQ of 136. This way we see the difference between functional intelligence and potential intelligence pretty clearly.
Believe it or not but people that work in child institutions often times have to deal with children that are in a coma and it would probably be surprising for people to find out that what the child in this state is put through visual, auditive, and tactile stimulus in a very intense way and very frequently and for a good amount of time, keeping in mind the organized mode in which the brain develops. In dictionaries a coma is defined as a state of unconsciousness of which it is impossible for the patient to wake up from. There is however another definition for coma which says it is the state of unconsciousness of which the patient has not yet woken up from. Remember that without data there is not any intelligence. We will leave this clear with just one example. Let us suppose you are reading this in your living room and that all of a sudden there is a fire in your house. Even though you consider that what you are doing is important, you know you should not keep on with your reading if there is a fire in your house. The only intelligent reaction would be to put it out or to call the firemen or to do both things. If you keep on with your reading, you are not acting in an intelligent way. A question: How do you know that in this moment there is not a fire happening in your house? It is pretty obvious that it would be impossible to carry things out in an intelligent way without data.
