Baby's Story

What to use Thirty Seconds for

The following will be dedicated to the topic of mathematics, which just so happens to be something that a great deal of us did not learn at all while in school. The understanding of the laws of math is fundamental for learning the amazing things that can be done with a baby in just half a minute. Let us say that I have five colored pencils, each of which is a different color and they can be organized by forming a surprising number of different combinations. I am able to place the red pencil with the yellow pencil and the green one with the orange one, the blue with the yellow and so forth. Mathematicians have come up with a formula. It equals to one hundred and twenty diverse ways of combining pencils. If I were to take six pencils, the number turns out to be more surprising given that there are seven hundred and twenty ways to combine six objects. The amount of ways in which we are able to combine six objects is amazing. It comes out to 5,040 ways. With nine the combination is quite incredible it com

es out to 362.880. With ten it comes out to 3,628,800. The base of all intelligence is data. Without data there cannot be any intelligence. We are going to prove this in two ways, with the case of the computers and with the case of human beings. A two million dollar computer that has just come from a factory is empty as far as data is concerned. It is not capable of answering to any question. If we want it to respond to our questions, there are three different things we need to do to it. First of all we need to present data to it. We can introduce some data in each of its memory registers. These data are better known as bits or information

units and they need to carry out three requirements. These need to be precise, discrete and cannot be ambiguous. We need to program the computer in such a way that it is capable of manipulating the data combining it with the rest in order to come up with new answers. We need to show it a language in which it responds to our questions. The computer will be limited now to responding the questions that can deduce the data that we have taught it. if we introduce a small amount of data, we can only receive a small amount of answers. If we introduce a greater amount of data, we can receive a greater amount of answers.
